The sun is shining once again across Stoke-on-Trent and there are lots of events taking place this weekend.

Here are our top picks, brought to you by Titanic Brewery and Bros Distillery.

Poetry Busk | Newcastle Library | Fri 21 March

In celebration of World Poetry Day, a team led by Keele University's Dr Lisa Blower are hosting a "Poetry Busk" on Friday (21 March) between 12-4pm with the aim of performing for four hours of rolling poetry. 

The four-hour session provides an opportunity for anyone to perform alongside Poetry Busk hosts including Staffordshire Poet Laureate and Keele alumna Scarlett Ward, who set up the Stafford-based poetry publisher Fawn Press. 

As well as the award-winning Penkhull-born poet Natalie Linh Bolderston; and centenary poet laureate Nick Degg who will close the busk with a 30 minute performance from 3.30pm.

City of Stoke-on-Trent Symphony Orchestra Out & About Festival 2025 | Hanley | Sat 22 & Sun 23 March

Join the City of Stoke-on-Trent Symphony Orchestra for a FREE weekend festival in the city centre this weekend.

All the events are completely free to attend and there's a HUGE range of music on show - from Soul Bossa Nova and The Incredibles with our 10-piece brass group on the Saturday to Star Wars and ET with the full 60-piece orchestra on Sunday, there's definitely something for everyone!

Ceramic Makers' Market | Gladstone Pottery Museum | Sat 22 March

Over 60 local and national ceramic makers will be attending Gladstone Pottery Museum's Ceramic Makers' Market, which is taking place on Saturday 22 March, as well as past contestants from the hit television show The Great Pottery Throw Down.

The Ceramic Makers' Market will run from 11am to 4pm. Entry is free and advance booking is not required.

There will be a wide variety of stalls offering bespoke works of art for sale – from traditional works to abstract pieces – all made of clay.

Westport Lake Cafe official opening day | Westport Lake | Sat 22 March

Westport Lake Cafe is reopening this weekend on Saturday 22 March.

The cafe will be open from 11:30am with face painting, games, pop up shops and a little bit more!

Comic Con | Potteries Centre | Sat 22 March

Calling all Staffordshire Superheroes.

Located on Level 6, above Yellow by Keep it Local, guests can immerse themselves in the worlds of their favourite characters, with iconic figures from cult classic movies making special appearances.

Meet and greet sessions and photo opportunities will be available, giving fans the perfect chance to capture Marvel-lous memories with beloved characters, including, Minecraft Steve, Mario, Bowser and many more!
