Over 60 local and national ceramic makers will be attending Gladstone Pottery Museum's Ceramic Makers' Market, which is taking place on Saturday 22 March, as well as past contestants from the hit television show The Great Pottery Throw Down.

The Ceramic Makers' Market will run from 11am to 4pm. Entry is free and advance booking is not required.

Potters including Jonathan Jolly, Steve Brown and Natalie Simms from the latest series of the popular Channel Four show will be there on the day alongside local pottery firms Burslem Pottery and Scruffy Little Herbert.

Visitors to Gladstone Pottery Museum will also be able to view the special Great Pottery Throw Down exhibition, which opened earlier this month as part of the city's Centenary celebrations.

The display features the six bird baths the potters were challenged to create in episode seven of the show which each reflect the area's rich industrial heritage, vibrant green spaces and historic waterways.

There will be a wide variety of stalls offering bespoke works of art for sale – from traditional works to abstract pieces – all made of clay.
