The Potteries Folk Club presents: Narthen - Icicles and Inglenooks
The winter season, whilst often cold, can be thawed by heart-lifting music that includes polyphonic, unaccompanied carols from Yorkshire and beyond, and tunes that make you want to dance. Throw into the mix a few irreverent songs about pheasants and other seasonal fare, and you've got a show that'll thaw your icicles and warm your inglenooks. Performing on fiddles, viola, hammer dulcimer, diatonic accordion, hurdy gurdy and more, with Jo Freya, Fi Fraser, Sarah Matthews and Doug Eunson.
Everyone is welcome and you don't need to be a club member! Doors open at 7:15pm for a 7:45pm start with floor singers before the main act. Free parking from 7pm on the near-by council car park. Tickets on the door (if there are any left) or via Eventbrite. Venue: Fenton Town Hall Café, Albert Square, Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent, ST4 3FA
