A popular TV show which is filmed in Stoke-on-Trent is set to return to screens this weekend. 

The Great Pottery Throw Down, filmed at Gladstone Pottery Museum in Longton, will return for its seventh season on Sunday 7 January. 

The popular show has attracted millions of viewers over the years and sees 12 of Britain's best potters compete to be crowned best at the wheel. 

The popular show will return for its seventh season this weekend and see 12 potters compete for ten weeks (Nub News).

Presented by actor and comedian Siobhan McSweeney, each weekly episode will see the contestants create beautiful pieces of pottery which are then judged by experts Keith Brymer Jones and Rich Miller. 

This year, the contestant list is made up of six men (Steven, Edward, Dave, Daniel, Dan and Andrew) and six women (Sophie, Shani, Princess, Jan, Donna and Cadi).

The new season will begin at 7.45pm on Channel 4 on Sunday 7 January and will run for ten weeks.
