A century of US

A special art exhibition celebrating Stoke-on-Trent's 100th anniversary will open this summer at The Potteries Centre. "A Century of Us," organised in partnership with Yellow by Keep It Local, the gallery will showcase work by local artists honouring the city's rich heritage and vibrant community.

Running from Saturday, June 7th through to Tuesday, September 30th, the exhibition will feature original 2D and 3D artwork including paintings, drawings, photography, textiles, ceramics and sculptures, all with connections to Stoke-on-Trent.

"This exhibition is a celebration of our city's centenary milestone," said Amy Whittaker, Centre Director at The Potteries Centre. "We're excited to showcase the talent of local artists while honouring the history, culture and people that have shaped Stoke-on-Trent over the past 100 years."

Andy Nixon, owner of Yellow by Keep It Local, added: "As a Stokie myself, I'm incredibly proud to host this exhibition that allows us to look back at some of the key parts of the history of our city. This centenary is a momentous occasion for Stoke-on-Trent, and through the artwork of our talented local community, we'll be able to celebrate our shared heritage and the unique identity that makes our city special."
