A body has been found in the search for missing man Keith from Stoke-on-Trent.

Formal identification is yet to take place but Staffordshire Police believe the body to be that of the missing 54-year-old and his family have been informed.

Specialist officers have been searching in and around Park Hall Country Park and a body was discovered last night (17 July).

Keith was last seen in Meir Hay on 4 June and was first reported missing on 24 June. His death is not being treated as suspicious.

His family are being supported by specially-trained officers.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "This week, specialist searches have been taking place in and around the Park Hall area as detectives, staff and search teams looked for him.

"Sadly, a body was discovered last night (Wednesday 17 July). Formal identification will take place in due course, but at this stage, we believe the man to be missing Keith.

"We are not treating the death as suspicious and a file will be prepared for HM Coroner."

The force has thanked those who have come forward with information in efforts to find Keith and those who have shared the appeals.
