Police 'continuing to monitor incidents and intelligence' in Stoke-on-Trent

Stoke-on-Trent Police have released a statement saying they are "continuing to monitor incidents and intelligence" of protests in the city.

In a Facebook post, a statement says: "We are aware of misinformation that's circulating about protests taking place this afternoon.

"We would like to reassure the community that, currently, no protests are taking place.

"The safety of the public is our number one priority. We can assure communities that we are continuing to monitor incidents and intelligence".

Since Saturday's incident, two men have been charged with offences and are due to appear in court this month.
