A man who threw a brick at an officer in the violent disorder in Stoke-on-Trent has been convicted in court.

Tyler Bradley Marchese, 21 of Burslem, appeared at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Monday (16 September) and pleaded guilty to violent disorder and assault by beating of an emergency worker.

He was seen numerous times on footage from the scene on 3 August engaging in violent disorder and throwing missiles at police at the scene.

Marchese will be sentenced on 27 September (Staffordshire Police).

Once he was identified, he was arrested and questioned in custody. He refused to comment on the questions put to him.

After being convicted, Marchese will now appear at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on 27 September for sentencing.

A total of 94 people have been arrested and 38 have been charged following an investigation into the violent disorder in Staffordshire.
