A Newcastle-under-Lyme pub has reopened following a "six figure investment".

The Cherry Tree, on London Road has reopened to the public from today (Friday 28 August) showcasing its newly refurbished interior and refreshed beer garden.

The interior of the Hungry Horse pub received new décor, lighting and furniture as part of the refurbishments.

The upstairs function space has been "transformed" to create a space for events and celebrations with capacity for up to 60 guests.

The beer garden has also been refreshed with additional seating space, upgraded outdoor furniture, signage and festoon lighting.

Sarah Clarke, general manager at the Cherry Tree, said: "Welcome back to the new and improved Cherry Tree! Having originally started my career at this very pub 36 years ago, it's incredible to now be guiding the Cherry Tree into its newest chapter.

"The refurbishment has given the pub a new lease of life with stylish new interior décor, a fantastic function space and a refreshed garden, enabling the team to serve up brilliant experiences to friends and families, no matter the occasion.

Following the upgrades, the pub has reintroduced its breakfast menu and installed a new self-serve coffee machine.

The Cherry Tree also has a schedule of entertainment planned including a weekly general knowledge quiz and live entertainment every payday weekend.
