44 councillors have been elected over 34 wards in Stoke-on-Trent, with Labour holding the majority of seats (Nub News).
44 councillors have been elected over 34 wards in Stoke-on-Trent, with Labour holding the majority of seats (Nub News).

Last night, Labour took control of Stoke-on-Trent City Council for the first time since 2015 by winning a total of 29 seats.

The Conservatives won 14 seats and City Independents won one seat.

The election count took place at Fenton Manor last night (Nub News).

Here are your new councillors, ward-by-ward:

Abbey Hulton - Stephen Watkins (Labour).

Baddeley, Milton and Norton - Carl Edwards (Conservative), Dave Evans (Conservative) and Duncan Walker (Labour).

Basford and Hartshill - Shaun Pender (Labour).

Bentilee, Ubberley and Townsend - Sarah Colclough and Lynn Watkins (both Labour).

Birches Head and Northwood - Steve Blakemore and Adrian Knapper (both Labour).

Blurton - Lorraine Beardmore (Conservative).

Boothen - Andy Platt (Labour).

Bradeley and Chell Heath - Gurmeet Singh Kallah (Labour).

Bucknall and Eaton Park - Heather Blurton (Conservative).

Burslem - Jane Ashworth (Labour and Co-operative).

Burslem Park - Glen Watson (Labour and Co-operative).

Etruria and Hanley - Majid Khan (Labour).

Fenton East - Mubsira Aumir (Labour).

Fenton West and Mount Pleasant - Lyn Sharpe (Labour).

Ford Green and Smallthorne - Diane Williams (Labour and Co-operative).

Goldenhill and Sandyford - Chandra Kanneganti (Conservative).

Great Chell and Packmoor - Sue Akkhurt and David Mountford (both Labour).

Hanford, Newstead and Trentham - Daniel Jellyman, Maxine Clark and Rachel Kelsall (all Conservative).

Hanley Park, Joiner's Square and Shelton - Alistair Watson and Amjid Wazir (both Labour).

Hartshill Park and Stoke - Daniela Santoro (Labour).

Lightwood North and Normacot - Sadaqat Maqsoom (Conservative).

Little Chell and Stanfield - David Williams (Labour).

Longton and Meir Hay South - Chris Robinson (Labour).

Meir North - Desiree Gail Elliott (Labour).

Meir Park - Abi Brown (Conservative).
