Knifepoint robber from Stoke-on-Trent jailed for nearly five years

A man who robbed another man at knifepoint in Stoke-on-Trent last year has been jailed for four and a half years.

Bradley Knight, 25, from Hanley, robbed the victim in an alleyway off Victoria Road, Fenton, in August 2023.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "He pulled out a flick-knife and asked the victim what was in his pockets. He pressed the knife into the man's stomach whilst carrying out the robbery.

"Knight took the man's mobile phone and left the area.

"We started work to gather evidence and later charged Knight with robbery and possession of a knife in a public place.

"He pleaded guilty to the offences at an earlier court hearing and was jailed for four-and-a-half-years at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Friday 15 March."
