Around three months of roadworks have started today (25 March) on a busy road in Stoke-on-Trent.

Multi-way signals have been placed on Lysander Road, between the A50 roundabout and the roundabout which leads to Tesco.

Works include carriageway widening, the introduction of an additional lane and the installation of a new zebra crossing.

The works are expected to take around 12 weeks (Nub News).

Councillor Amid Wazir said: "The works are aimed at reducing congestion on Lysander Road between the A50 roundabout and the roundabout which leads to Tesco Meir Park.

"We would like to reassure residents and drivers that disruption will be kept to a minimum during this time."

The works are expected to take around 12 weeks.
