There's plenty to get up to in and around Stoke-on-Trent this weekend.

Potters' Patch Launch | Hanley | Fri 26 June

The Potters' Patch aims to transform a currently underused plot on Bucknall New Road, Hanley, into a community asset featuring raised beds, fruit trees as well as opportunities for volunteering and community events.

Local residents are invited to attend the official launch event for the project on Friday 26 June from 2pm to 5pm, which will feature free activities such as seed sowing and willow weaving.

Melissa Underwood, Head of Nature Recovery at Groundwork West Midlands, said: "The Potters' Patch is about creating a space where people, nature and community can thrive together.

Pride in the Moorlands | Staffordshire Moorlands | Friday 26 to Sunday 28 June

Pride in the Moorlands will return this weekend bringing three days of "celebration, creativity and community" to towns and villages across the Staffordshire Moorlands.

The weekend celebration, organised by arts programme OUTSIDE and a steering group of local LGBTQ+ community and allies, will take place from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 June.

The programme of events include a textile craft workshop in Cheadle, a roller disco in Biddulph, Pride oatcakes in Endon and a parade through Leek.

Katie Aldous, Director of OUTSIDE, said: "We're incredibly excited to see Staffordshire Moorlands Pride return for its second year."

Stall Stories | Burslem Market Hall | Sat 27 June

Local residents will also be invited to contribute their own photographs, memories and stories of the Market, to create a growing community-led exhibition.

The team from Claybody will be in the shop every Saturday morning between 10am and 1pm from 20 June to 25 July inclusive.

Deborah McAndrew, Co-Artistic Director at Claybody Theatre said: "We're looking forward to meeting local people and hearing their memories which will, no doubt, inspire a play.

"We then hope to secure further funding and fulfil our long-held ambition to put on a production inside Burslem Market Hall."

Green & Sustainability Community Day | Biddulph Youth and Community Zone | Sat 27 June

The Green & Sustainability Community Day will return to Biddulph on Saturday 27 June from 11am to 3pm.

The event will feature a repair cafe, bike fixing and a 'rescue me' pop up stall with children's toys, baby items, furniture and more.

The organisers said: ""Come along to our 3rd Green & Sustainability Community Day in collaboration with Biddulph Youth and Community Zone 11am to 3pm."
