Two arrests made after teenage boy assaulted in Stoke-on-Trent school

A boy and a girl have been arrested after another boy was assaulted at a school in Stoke-on-Trent.

Just after 9am this morning (21 September), police were called to a school in Bentilee when the victim, aged 15, was assaulted. 

He was treated at the scene for minor injuries. Luckily, he did not need hospital treatment. 

The school entered a state of lockdown as a precaution following the incident whilst officers searched the area. 

A 17-year-old boy, from Stoke-on-Trent, has since been arrested on suspicion of assault. 

A 13-year-old girl, from Stoke-on-Trent, has also been arrested on suspicion of assault thereby occasioning actual bodily harm.

Both of them remain in custody while enquiries continue.
