Thousands flocked to the first ever Goods Yard Fest in Stoke this Easter weekend.

Over 2,500 people spent Easter Sunday at the festival hosted by Capital&Centric, the social developers behind the £60m Goods Yard neighbourhood currently in construction.

There was something for everyone, from entertainers on stilts to fire performers. Local musicians took to the festival stage whilst the Back Chat Brass band brought upbeat vibes as they roamed the street.

There was a range of entertainers, musicians and food vendors (Capital&Centric).

Party-goers tucked into pizzas and pints, with a host of street food vendors, and families tried their best for a hole in one at the pop-up crazy golf in the Goods Yard Signal Box. Elsewhere, talented artist Andrew Wolfenden worked up a new street art creation from scratch, with visitors able to watch his live progress on the bold new piece.

The free community event was to celebrate Capital&Centric's progress to deliver the Goods Yard neighbourhood, backed in part by Levelling Up funding. When complete the district will feature design-led apartments for rent alongside workplaces, bars, cafes, restaurants and green public spaces.

The Goods Yard Neighbourhood, when completed, will be home to apartments, bars and cafes (Capital&Centric).

Tom Wilmot, Joint Managing Director at Capital&Centric, said: "The people of Stoke-on-Trent did not disappoint; they came down in their droves and packed out the street for Goods Yard Fest. There was such a great vibe throughout the day and it was exactly what we wanted - a really feel good, colourful event that brought people together.

"Goods Yard will be an inclusive community, a melting pot where people live, work, shop and hang out. There'll be green outdoor spaces that'll be perfect for these creative events, whether its makers markets, live music or public art exhibitions.
