Teenager charged with firearm and drug offences following search in Stoke-on-Trent

A 17-year-old boy from Stoke-on-Trent and a woman from Newcastle have been charged with drug and weapon offences.

The 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with possessing a firearm, conspiring to supply a class A controlled drug (crack cocaine and heroin), possession with intent to supply a class A controlled drug (crack cocaine, heroin and cocaine) and two counts of acquiring criminal property.

Shahtaaj Khodabux, 19, of Newcastle-under-Lyme, has been charged with conspiring to supply a class A controlled drug (crack cocaine and heroin) and possession with intent to supply a class A controlled drug (crack cocaine).

This comes after police searched a home off Sandon Road, Meir, yesterday (Nub News).

It comes after police searched three addresses in Meir, Keele and Fenton yesterday (Thursday 14 November) and found suspected drugs and phones.

Both of them appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre today (Friday 15 November). The 17-year-old boy has been remanded and Khodabux has been bailed ahead of their next appearance at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on 13 December.
