Stoke woman arrested after 'driving dangerously' across Staffordshire

A 38-year-old woman was arrested following a police pursuit across Staffordshire (Staffordshire Police).

A woman from Stoke-on-Trent has been arrested after a car was stung following a pursuit across Staffordshire.

At around 2.40pm on Saturday 26 October, police were told about a grey Volvo driving dangerously up the M6 between junctions 14 and 15.

One lane was closed after the car came to a stop, but the driver made off from police and failed to stop.

Police followed the car through Tunstall, Goldenhill, Kidsgrove, Congleton and Scholar Green.

The car was first spotted on the M6, then followed through Staffordshire (Staffordshire Police).

Officers from Cheshire Police then managed to sting the car, allowing officers to box in the driver on Station Road.

A 38-year-old woman, from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop, driving whilst unfit through drugs and criminal damage.

She has since been released under investigation while our enquiries continue.
