Stoke planning roundup: New SEN school, charity shop opening and new college buildings

Here are the biggest planning stories from the past week.
SEN primary school
Plans for a brand-new primary school for children with special educational needs have been approved by Stoke-on-Trent City Council.
The Watermill Satellite SEN School is intended to work in partnership with the Watermill School in providing education to students with challenging needs.
The new facility, in Packmoor, will cater for around 82 students aged between 7-16.

Salvation Army charity shop
A new charity shop is set to open on a Stoke-on-Trent retail park, taking over a unit which has been empty for five years.
The Salvation Army will open on Springfields Retail Park, Trent Vale, in the former Carpetright unit, next to Pets at Home.
Salvation Army has applied for permission from Stoke-on-Trent City Council to begin erecting new signs outside the unit, in preparation for their grand opening later this year.

New college buildings
Stoke-on-Trent College have applied for permission to demolish a three-story building and erect a two-story building in its place.
The college also want to install six electric vehicle parking spaces and an extra two disabled parking spaces.
This planning application is awaiting a decision.
