A man from Stoke-on-Trent has been jailed after he attacked and threw his dog out of a car.

Tyler Steele, 28, from Berryhill, was sentenced to 18 weeks imprisonment at North Staffordshire Justice Centre this week after he pleaded guilty to two counts of causing unnecessary suffering to an animal.

On 2 May 2023, Steele threw his dog across the road from a parked car in Berryhill, Stoke-on-Trent and was filmed slapping his dog four times on Proudlock Avenue, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, on 7 July.
