Tales in the Park | Fenton Park | Fri 8 August

Local families are invited to enjoy summer storytelling as the National Literacy Trust in Stoke's 'Tales in the Park' series returns to Stoke-on-Trent this summer. 

Tales in the Park will be at Fenton Park on Friday 1 August From 11am – 3pm.

Visitors will be treated to storytelling, pop-up sports, crafts, circus skills, a bouncy castle, and so much more.

Brilliant Bamboo birthday and parklet open day | Land off Boothen Road Stoke | Sat 9 Aug

Explore a brand-new Bamboo Parklet being created on brownfield land close to Sainsbury's in Stoke town centre.

You can share, or draw what you'd love to see there and you can also have a go at screen printing with Kirsty Smith.

There will be feel-good birthday vibes with live tunes from a DJ and of course… birthday cake.

Roller Disco | MyActive Biddulph ST8 7HL | Sat 9 Aug

Roller Disco runs every Saturday 2:30pm - 4pm at MyActive Biddulph

Roller skating fun for the whole family from young children, to teens and adults and all abilities are welcome whether you are a beginner or an experienced skater.

There's no need to book - just pay on the door. Admission is £8 per skater. (One non-skating adult admitted FREE with every skating child)

A Sense of Place Arthur Berry Exhibition | Barewall Art Gallery | From Sat 9 Aug

This summer, Barewall Art Gallery Studio in Burslem will open a deeply personal and unique new exhibition as part of the Arthur Berry 100 centenary programme. 

'A Sense of Place', running from 9th August to 21st September 2025, invites visitors to step into the world of one of Stoke-on-Trent's most celebrated artists, playwrights and poets, Arthur Berry.

Located at the Barewall Studio, adjacent to the Barewall Art Gallery in Market Place, Burslem, the exhibition explores the evocative locations that shaped Berry's creative legacy.

Artisan Market | World of Wedgwood | Sun 10 Aug 10am-4pm

The World of Wedgwood Artisan Market is back on Sunday, 10th August 2025—and it's going to be a full-on celebration of all things handmade and homegrown.

Whether you're browsing for the perfect piece, treating yourself to something tasty, or just soaking up the summer atmosphere, this is the ultimate day out for all ages!

World of Wedgwood, Wedgwood Drive, Barlaston, ST12 9ER

Makers Market | Trentham Shopping Village and Newcastle town centre | Sat 9 August 10am-4pm

The Trentham Makers Market is back on Saturday between 10am – 4pm and it promises to be bigger and better than ever before.

You'll find a variety of stalls – from hand-poured candles to French macarons, artisan rum to beautiful wreaths, ceramics, stuffed cookies, flavour-packed sauces, natural dog treats, original art, and so much more. It's the perfect opportunity to shop local, pick up unique treasures, and treat yourself.  And music from Keira Bradley.

The Makers Market is also in Newcastle town centre at the same time and children can take part in a free crafting station, circus skills and football while shoppers can tuck in to a selection of food including homemade loaded fries and burgers and German hotdogs.
