Pub fundraiser helps to open new Stoke oatcake and sandwich shop

Last Orders, Longton, held a fundraiser after the opening of one of their regular's new oatcake and sandwich shop had to be postponed due to a break-in.
Linny's Kitchen, Longton, was broken into last Monday (2 January), a day before it was due to open.
Owned by Nigel Ainge, Linny's Kitchen is based in the former Potteries Oatcakes shop on The Strand.

Last Orders landlady, Chantelle Osbourne, upon hearing the news of the break in decided to hold a fundraiser to help Nigel repair and open his shop, which is dedicated to his late wife.
She said: "Nigel is one of our regular customers and is such a lovely man. When I first woke Monday and saw what had happened via social media it was heartbreaking to see such an awful thing had happened to such a wonderful family.
"The fact that the opening of this shop had so much sentimental value to them I wanted to show the family that myself, all the staff and our fantastic community spirited customers could show our support in getting them opened up!"
They held a raffle of donated items from local businesses, disco and karaoke and had live music.
The grand total raised was £605.60.
Linny's Kitchen is now open and welcoming its first customers.
