Police appeal for information after boy assaulted in Stoke-on-Trent shopping centre

Staffordshire Police are appealing for information after a 16-year-old boy was assaulted by a small group of youths in Stoke-on-Trent.

Officers were called to the Potteries Shopping Centre, Hanley, shortly after 9.30pm on Monday (3 March) following reports of disorder near Cineworld.

The victim was approached by a group of boys who threatened him and then assaulted him. They repeatedly punched and kicked him before running away, leaving the victim with cuts and bruises to his face.

Officers spoke with the victim at the scene and began making initial inquiries into the incident.

A 16-year-old boy was assaulted near Cineworld on Monday (Potteries Centre).

The suspects are believed to be around 15 or 16-years-old and were all wearing hoods over their heads at the time. They were mostly dressed in dark clothing with one member of the group wearing grey bottoms.
