Plans have been submitted to transform a vacant pub site in Burslem into seven new apartments. 

Built in 1889, The White Hart, on Westport Road, was forced to close in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 lockdown and did not reopen. 

In a Facebook post, manager Dave Berrisford wrote: "Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 restrictions the White Hart 80s and 90s bar will not be reopening. 

"Unfortunately, I cannot pay the bills there no more because it has been shut for six months. Thanks to everyone who supported this venue when it was open. I am gutted to say the least."

Plans have been submitted to transform a vacant pub into seven new apartments (Nub News).

Now, plans have been submitted to transform the 199 square meter site into new apartments.

HS Property Group is proposing six one-bed flats, one two-bed flat and seven cycle spaces for residents.

A decision has not yet been made regarding these plans.
