A man has been jailed following an investigation into a drug line in Stoke-on-Trent.

Mirand Alla, 29, of Shelton, was sentenced to three-years-and-eight-months in prison at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Friday (21 August).

He previously pleaded guilty to possession with intent a controlled drug of class A – cocaine and possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class B – cannabis.

It comes after Kent Police officers were investigating a drug line between Kent and Stoke-on-Trent in September last year.

Staffordshire Police said the investigation was passed to their officers who identified Alla as the holder of the phone.

Alla was arrested in March this year.

The police force said Alla told officers he had drugs in his pocket but claimed they weren't his.

Officers found 13 snap bags of cocaine and the drugs line phone in his pocket and cannabis, three sets of scales and more cocaine in a house nearby.

In total, Staffordshire Police said officers seized around £800-worth of drugs.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "We worked tirelessly to gather evidence against Alla, which led to him admitting the offences in court.

"We remain committed to tackling drug supply in Stoke-on-Trent and wider Staffordshire."
