The Big Feast | Hanley | Fri 28 and Sat 29 Aug

The Big Feast, produced by Appetite, will return to Hanley on Friday 28 and Saturday 29 August bringing performances and activities to outdoor stages across the city centre.

Venues will include the Town Hall, Smithfield, Fountain Square, Bethesda Gardens, Albion Square, Parliament Square and Row, Lower Piccadilly, the Potteries Centre, the Potteries Museum & Art Gallery, Drop City Books and Hanley Bus Station.

Emily Labhart, Appetite Director, said: "The Big Feast is all about transforming familiar spaces into places of wonder, creativity and connection.

"The programme brings together artists whose work is playful, spectacular, moving and thought-provoking."

Potteries Artisan Market | Hanley | Fri 28 and Sat 29 Aug

The Potteries Artisan Market will return to Hanley on Friday 28 and Saturday 29 August alongside The Big Feast.

The market will run from 10am to 4pm each day showcasing street food, handmade gifts, and homewares.

The organisers said: "Your favourite summer bank holiday weekend of bold, brilliant and joy-filled moments is returning to the streets of Stoke-on-Trent City Centre… and we are so excited to be supporting it!!

Jazz and Blues Festival | Newcastle-under-Lyme | Fri 28 to Mon 31 Aug

Taking place over the August Bank Holiday (Friday 28 to Monday 31 August), the Newcastle Jazz & Blues Festival will feature more than 50 live acts performing across the town centre, celebrating jazz, blues, soul, funk and acoustic music.

Organised by Newcastle-under-Lyme BID, the festival has become one of the town's longest-running events, drawing visitors from across Staffordshire and beyond while supporting local venues, hospitality businesses and the wider town centre economy.

Charl Pearce, BID Manager at Newcastle-under-Lyme BID, said: "The Jazz & Blues Festival has become a real highlight in Newcastle-under-Lyme's events calendar and we're incredibly proud to be celebrating its 19th year.

"The festival showcases not only fantastic musicians but also the brilliant venues in Newcastle. "

Three Counties Open Art Exhibition | Fenton Town Hall | Until Sat 29 Aug

The Three Counties Open Art Exhibition, which brings together artists from Staffordshire, Cheshire and Shropshire, has returned to Fenton Town Hall with more works on show than ever before.

Kerry Jones, from ArtsKeele, said: "To be marking our 30th anniversary with both a record number of submissions and the largest exhibition we've ever staged is a wonderful way to celebrate the exhibition's legacy.

The exhibition runs until Saturday, 29 August, and is open with free entry from Tuesday to Saturday between 11am and 3pm.
