Plans for two new electric vehicle (EV) chargers on the car park of a fast food restaurant in Stoke-on-Trent have been submitted to the city council.

Instavolt has applied for permission to install two EV charging stations and equipment including a green charging unit, a feeder pillar and underground cabling at McDonalds, Victoria Road, Fenton.

The charging stations would be "rapid charging" and three existing spaces would form the two new EV spaces.

The applicant says the installation of the chargers and equipment should take around a week (Nub News).

Instavolt say the whole installation should take around one week and should not interfere with local business.

This comes after an application for two electrical up stands and one electrical feeder pillar was rejected last month - due to a lack of information being provided.

A decision is expected regarding these plans in the coming months.
