49 McGough Street, Tunstall, has been vacant for over ten years (Nub News).

Plans have been submitted for a brand-new four-storey building in Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent, which will create 11 flats for local residents.

49 McGough Street is currently vacant since the previous building was demolished over ten years ago.

The site was also listed on the Register of Stoke-on-Trent Brownfield Sites in 2020.

The Cheadle-based developer plans to create 11 one-bedroom flats in the building if permission is granted, along with six cycle spaces.

The building will be finished in render, with timber infill panels, grey UPVC windows and a grey tiled roof (Hewitt & Carr Architects).

Planning permission had been granted previously for a three-story apartment block to be built, but the work was never carried out.

A decision has not yet been made regarding these plans.
