Plans have been approved to transform a HMO in Longton into a supported living residential home for up to nine people.

The applicant, Mr Hussain, was granted permission yesterday (5 April) for his plans to go ahead, two months after he submitted an application form to Stoke-on-Trent City Council.

The 1130 square meter site will allow residents to live independently with on-site support based on their individual needs.

The space will be made available for residents who have a variety of support needs including autism, ADHD, mental health issues, learning difficulties and associated disorders.

The facility will be staffed 24 hours a day with a maximum of nine residents and four staff.

A further eight car parking spaces will also be created for staff, residents and visitors.
