Plans have been approved to install new electric vehicle charging stations on a fast food restaurant chain car park in Stoke - replacing two existing car park spaces. 

On Wednesday 1 March, InstaVolt submitted plans to install two new rapid electric vehicle charging stations on McDonald's Car Park, Springfields Retail Park, Trent Vale - read the full story here.

Last week, these plans were approved by Stoke-on-Trent City Council. 

Instavolt will replace two existing McDonald's car park spaces with EV charging bays - along with associated equipment. 

McDonalds, Springfields Retail Park, Trent Vale (Google).

Line painting on the car park will also be altered to ensure that logos are on allocates spaces for EV charging.

Case officer, Chris Yates, said: "The proposal is considered to be acceptable in terms of design, amenity, highway safety and air quality and would deliver sustainable development in accordance with the NPPF."
