Opportunity for young actors to take to the stage in Stoke-on-Trent

A Stoke-based theatre company is offering an opportunity for aspiring actors to gain on-stage experience in its upcoming Christmas production.
Claybody Theatre, based at The Dipping House at Spode Works, is producing its "Stokie version" of A Christmas Carol, which will run in December.
The theatre company is now on the lookout for young aspiring actors to play Tiny Tim - with auditions taking place later this month.
Deborah McAndrew, co-artistic director at Claybody Theatre, said: "We are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for two young actors to share the role of Tim Cratchit in our production of A Christmas Carol.
"Playing the part of Tiny Tim is something quite special and will provide the perfect opportunity to gain experience in theatre whilst also working with a professional cast.
"Places for the audition sessions are limited and we are asking for young actors aged between 9 - 12 years to register via our website where all the information can be found."
The Dipping House is currently undergoing essential improvements to enable the theatre to present a full run of shows at Christmas.
Claybody Theatre's production of A Christmas Carol will see lead actor Andrew Price playing Ebenezer Scrooge with 17 performances taking place between 5-20 December
Rehearsals will take place between Monday 3 and Saturday 29 November, and a performance schedule will be shared between the two actors chosen for the part of Tiny Tim.
Claybody Theatre says a full cast announcement will be made in October.
