Two men have been arrested after violence broke out in Stoke-on-Trent on Monday afternoon.

Armed officers from Staffordshire Police were alerted to "men with baseball bats" and reports of fighting on Chell Heath Road in Chell Heath at around 2:20pm on 8 September.

A rapid investigation has led to the arrest of two men, aged 30 and 36,  on suspicion of affray. They are currently in police custody for questioning and there is an increased police presence in the area.

Staffordshire Police is now appealing for anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage in the area from the time to come forward after multiple reports of violence and criminal damage in the area yesterday afternoon.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "Our detectives are continuing to investigate this incident and are asking for any member of the public with information or footage of any criminal or suspicious behaviour to come forward.

"To make things simple, we have now launched a public portal where you can easily share any information or footage you may have.

"You can access the public portal here: https://mipp.police.uk/operation/STAFFS25M12-PO1.

"Alternatively, you can call 101 quoting incident number 358 of 8 September. To report anonymously call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
