A local drug dealer in Stoke-on-Trent has been jailed for six years after Staffordshire Police found cocaine, MDMA, cannabis and crack inside a house.
Joseph Wardle, 44, of Kingsley Moor, was sentenced at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Thursday 19 September after he previously admitted possession with intent to supply MDMA, cannabis, and two counts of possession with intent to supply cocaine.
In July this year, police responded to reports that a property on Dorchester Walk in Bentilee was being used to store drugs. Wardle was arrested when he was seen approaching the front door when officers got there.
Police discovered all of the drugs inside, believed to be worth up to £9,000.
Wardle was interviewed in custody and charged with the offences, where he later pleaded guilty.
Chief Inspector Dave Barrow, from the Stoke South local policing team, said: "We're continuing to take proactive action against the criminals in the city responsible for high-harm crimes, including drug supply, illegal firearms, knife crime, human trafficking and sexual exploitation.
"It's vital that people continue to report concerns to us so we can achieve results like this one.
"We want to continue making Stoke-on-Trent a hostile place for organised criminals to offend and to ensure the concerns of our communities are acted upon as robustly as possible."
