Man arrested following 'reports of gunshots' in Stoke-on-Trent

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following reports of gunshots in Stoke-on-Trent.

The shots were heard near Winchester Avenue, Bentilee, on Tuesday 3 September.

A search warrant was carried out this morning (5 September) at an address near Wooliscroft Road, Stoke-on-Trent.

A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He remains in custody for questioning.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "We're keen to speak to anyone who was in the area when it happened on Tuesday or those with information that can help us with our investigation.
