Man and woman charged after cocaine and cash found in Cheadle

A man and woman have been charged with drug offences after officers found cocaine and cash in Cheadle.

Ashley Loftus, 36, from Cheadle, has been charged with possession with intent to supply a class A drug (cocaine) and acquiring or possessing criminal property.

Sophie Hall, 29, also from Cheadle, has been charged with possessing a controlled drug of class A (cocaine).

Police found £1,000 worth of cocaine and £800 cash in Cheadle in July 2022 (Nub News).

This comes after police stopped and searched a van on New Haden Road in Cheadle in July 2022 and found £1,000 worth of cocaine.

Police also searched an address in the town on the sale day and found just over £800 in cash.

Both are due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Tuesday 2 July.
