M6 closed in Staffordshire following road traffic collision

UPDATE AT 8.50AM: All lanes of the M6 have now reopened.

Two lanes of the M6 northbound between J14 (Stafford) and J15 (Stoke-on-Trent) are currently closed following a road traffic collision.

The collision was first reported at 3.49am today (1 July) and happened between a car and a number of lorries.

A CMPG spokesperson said: "There has been a road traffic collision between a car and a number of lorries.

"The driver stated they fell asleep. They have been reported for driving without due care and attention.

"However they have walked away uninjured and with their life."
