Local funeral directors install ‘postbox to heaven’ to allow Stoke community to post letters to their loved ones

A Stoke-on-Trent funeral directors has installed a 'postbox to heaven' to allow the local community to write and post letters to their loved ones. 

The postbox is situated on the side of Simpson & Wilde Independent Funeral Directors, on Hartshill Road, Hartshill. 

Owner, Ben Simpson, told Stoke Nub News: "We saw the idea online and thought it would be a good opportunity for local people to have access to one. 

Simpson & Wilde is an independent funeral directors based in Hartshill (Nub News).

"We have had a great response and lots of letters have already been posted. For example, there were lots of Mother's Day cards posted recently."

The cards will eventually be turned into pulp and planted with wild flower seeds.
