A former British Legion club in Stoke-on-Trent has been put on the market for £150,000 after it closed earlier this month.

The Meir and Longton branch, on Meir Road, closed after it became "insolvent" and members now hold meetings at Blurton Private Club instead.

The venue has a ground floor bar and function room with a large flat above and Harris Lamb is asking for offers in excess of £150,000.

The Meir and Longton branch closed earlier this month after it became 'insolvent' (Google).

The property consultant says: "Through the bar area is a basement which has two rooms and has been used for storage. The property benefits from having two front doors and a car park to the side of the premises.

"On the first floor is a large self-contained residential apartment, with two bedrooms, a large kitchen, dinning room and a bathroom. The residential flat is in need of modernisation.

"In addition to the adjoining side car, the property benefits from a second large car park on the opposite side of the road with space for approx. 20 cars."

Harris Lamb also say the building is suitable for a variety of uses and the car park has "development potential".
