A man who burgled a home in Stoke-on-Trent and took candles, clothing and other goods has been jailed for more than two years.

Adam Reynolds, 35, of no fixed address, went inside a flat on The Villas back in June.

He was challenged by a neighbour when he was searching inside, prompting him to leave the scene on a push bike.

Reynolds was sentenced to two years and four months imprisonment (Staffordshire Police).

Reynolds was found and arrested on Hartshill Road shortly after and the goods were returned to the victim.

Reynolds pleaded guilty to burglary at an earlier hearing and was sentenced to two-years-and-four-months imprisonment at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Wednesday 14 August.
