Five men charged following public order incident involving weapons in Stoke-on-Trent

Five men have been charged as part of an investigation into a public order incident involving weapons in Stoke-on-Trent.
Aiden Crowder, 25, of Hanley, and Lewis Jones, 24, of HMP Dovegate, have both been charged with possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
Ryan Lowndes, 28, of Blurton, has been charged with making an explosive substance with intent to endanger life / injure property.
Mitchell Spencer, 20, of Adderley Green, has been charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
Matthew Stevens, 24, of Bentilee, has been charged with possession of a knife / sharp pointed article in a public place.
Staffordshire Police said the incident took place on Saturday 11 May 2024 on Rochester Road, Longton.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "We received a report that a group of men were carrying weapons in the street, including a firearm, a machete and a golf club.
"No one was reported injured."
All five men are due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on 11 August.
