Firefighters tackle blaze at three-storey building in Stoke-on-Trent city centre

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service are tackling a fire affecting a three-storey building in Stoke-on-Trent.
Crews were called to the scene shortly after 12.40am this morning (Thursday 9 July) when the fire was reported on Stafford Street in Hanley.
Six crews have been working at the scene alongside gas and structural engineers and Staffordshire Police.
The fire is affecting the first floor, second floor and loft space of the building.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "Six crews and two aerial ladder platforms (ALP's), have been working at the scene to bring the fire under control and minimise the spread to surrounding buildings.
"Crews have been using main jets and hose reel jets from Stafford Street and Foundry Street."
A cordon is currently in place and is affecting the areas of Stafford Street, Lamb Street, Trinity Street and Foundry Street between New Hall Street and Trinity Street
The fire service expects this disruption to continue into the morning and afternoon today.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "At 12.45am this morning, our colleagues at Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service made us aware of the fire.
"A cordon is currently in place and is affecting the areas of Stafford Street, Lamb Street, Trinity Street and Foundry Street between New Hall Street and Trinity Street.
"Officers are on scene and are continuing to support with traffic management in the area while fire crews respond to the fire."
People are advised to avoid the area.
