Five arrested following pharmacy burglary in Stoke-on-Trent on Christmas Day

Five people have been arrested following a burglary at a pharmacy in Stoke-on-Trent on Christmas Day.

Police were called to Queen Street, Burslem, just before 11am on 25 December to reports that intruders had forced entry into the building and taken a large amount of prescription medication.

A man in his 30s, from the Stoke-on-Trent area, along with one woman in her 30s, from the Stoke-on-Trent area, and two men, in their 30s, and of no fixed address, have since been arrested on suspicion of burglary.

A 30-year-old man, from the Stoke-on-Trent area, was also arrested on suspicion of burglary and possession of a class B drug.

A quantity of drugs have since been recovered by police.
