The family of a man who died following a crash in Stoke-on-Trent earlier this week, have paid tribute to 'a much-loved son, brother, uncle and friend'.

Michael Bibby, 41, of Blurton was riding a grey SYM Jet motorbike when he was involved in a crash with a silver Ford EcoSport on Belgrave Road shortly before 12.30pm on Monday (29 December). He died a short time later.

In a statement, Michael's family said: "It is with great sadness and extremely heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of Michael Bibby, aged 41, of Finstock Avenue in Blurton, following a road traffic collision in Dresden on 29 December 2025.

"He was a very much-loved son, brother, uncle and friend and is going to be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

"Ride high Mikey B – 'Those who touch our lives, stay in our hearts forever'."

Michael's family have asked for privacy at this time.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "Michael's family have asked for privacy at this very difficult time while they come to terms with this very painful and sudden loss.

"We are continuing to support Michael's family."
