Family pay tribute to 'much-loved' motorcyclist killed in Stoke-on-Trent crash

The family of a man who died following a crash in Stoke-on-Trent earlier this week, have paid tribute to 'a much-loved son, brother, uncle and friend'.
Michael Bibby, 41, of Blurton was riding a grey SYM Jet motorbike when he was involved in a crash with a silver Ford EcoSport on Belgrave Road shortly before 12.30pm on Monday (29 December). He died a short time later.
In a statement, Michael's family said: "It is with great sadness and extremely heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of Michael Bibby, aged 41, of Finstock Avenue in Blurton, following a road traffic collision in Dresden on 29 December 2025.
"He was a very much-loved son, brother, uncle and friend and is going to be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
"Ride high Mikey B – 'Those who touch our lives, stay in our hearts forever'."
Michael's family have asked for privacy at this time.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "Michael's family have asked for privacy at this very difficult time while they come to terms with this very painful and sudden loss.
"We are continuing to support Michael's family."
The driver of the car, a man, is assisting officers with their enquiries.
Staffordshire Police continue to urge anyone who witnessed the collision or those with CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage of the area to get in touch by calling 101 or using Live Chat on their website, quoting incident 265 of 29 December.
