13-year-old boy charged over flower bed vandalism in Stoke-on-Trent

A 13-year-old boy has been charged with criminal damage offences in connection with the vandalism of flower beds in Longton recently.

The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with criminal damage to property valued under £5,000.

This comes after the planters based on The Strand in Longton town centre were damaged for the second time on 1 October.

The boy has been bailed ahead of a court appearance at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on 30 October.
