Plans to reopen a Grade II-listed office block in Stoke-on-Trent city centre have been submitted to the local council.

Smith Partnership Solicitors are intending to move into Alexander House, on Bethesda Street, Hanley.

The company has submitted a planning application for the "display of one illuminated fascia sign and three non-illuminated parking bay signs to south elevation together with two non-illuminated signs affixed to gate pillars, adjacent to western boundary".

The city centre offices were recently put up for rent for £35k per annum (Google).

The offices, which are Grade II-listed, were recently listed with Louis Taylor for just over £35,000 per annum.

Louis Taylor say: "The office has been recently renovated and provides a kitchen and W.C. The main entrance is off a tarmac surfaced parking area for approximately three parking spaces to the first floor."

A Heritage Statement, submitted as part of the planning application, says: "The building is now in office use and in order to sustain a viable commercial use into the future, which is in the best interests of the long term conservation of the building, it is reasonable and necessary to have some signage on the building."
