Karen McBarrons is the newest clinician working at a friendly and professional dental practice in Newcastle-under-Lyme.  

The Dentist at Chesterton, based on Crackley Bank, prides itself on providing "affordable, private dentistry without the price tag".  

Karen began her role as a Dental Hygienist at the practice in October 2024, having worked in similar roles all over Staffordshire and Cheshire for 24 years.  

She qualified from Liverpool Dental School in 2000 and has since qualified in teeth whitening and facial aesthetic procedures.  

Karen is dedicated to preventing and treating gum disease and her goal is to help educate and promote good oral hygiene to her patients.  

She told Nub News: "Most of my time at work is spent doing a huge range of dental hygiene work, such as a scale and polish or gum treatments, and the rest of the time is spent doing teeth whitening and facial aesthetics, such as anti wrinkle injections and dermal fillers, both of which are becoming increasingly popular.  

"I do a lot of collagen-boosting treatments too which are also popular because it's very natural, it's about getting your own body to regenerate its own collagen and elasticity.  

"The best thing about working at The Dentist at Chesterton is definitely the people - both staff and patients - everyone is so friendly, it's a really great place to work."

Since October, Karen has built a strong rapport with patients, helping to put them at ease, and this has earned her some excellent reviews.
