The team behind a local hearing centre group have been named 'Staffordshire Audiologists of the Year' for the third time in a row.

The Hearing Centres group, which operates seven hearing clinics across Staffordshire, Cheshire and Derbyshire, recently received the accolade from SME News.

This year, the family-run business also took home the award for 'Professional Excellence in Ear Wax Removal'.

Claire Snelling, audiologist and co-owner of The Hearing Centres, attributed the award to the group's "consistent high level of operations".

She said: "I think the award shows that we are consistently delivering a high level of service to patients, and they are accessing a service that is needed within the community.

"High standards, patient driven, evidence based: it all sits within the core values that we have as a business."

Rory Kewney, another audiologist and co-owner, also welcomed the award and stressed the group's patient-driven ethos.

He said: "We have been heavily involved in audiology and the profession for a good length of time, and all with a desire to offer patients a local, evidence based, patient-centred practice.

"I think that part of what has fuelled our expansion, is that we have got a really clear vision of how we think it should be done.

"And it has been proven that is what patients want as well, because we have such a loyal and ever-expanding customer base."

The group's award-winning Staffordshire hearing centres include Leek and Cheadle.

As well as 'excellent' ear wax removal, each of the clinics provides a range of high-quality services including hearing tests, tinnitus management, advice on hearing aids and assistive listening devices.

The third co-owner of the business, Brad Snelling, added: "The level at which we operate in terms of looking after the patient to the aftercare is industry leading.

"That is what separates us from everywhere else."
