Network Support Engineer (Fortinet experience) - based in Staffordshire with occasional travel to customer sites, 35-45k plus benefits.An opportunity has opened for a Network Support Engineer to join a small, friendly support team within an established business based in Keele, Staffordshire. Commutable from: South Manchester, East Derbyshire, East Nottinghamshire, Shropshire, Cheshire, West Midlands. The focus will be supporting business customers across multiple services including Ethernet, broadband, voice (VoIP and PSTN), security, and hosting. As the Network Support Engineer, You'll be operating at a 2nd line level but also covering some 1st line responsibilities. The Network Support Engineer will need experience of working in a similar technical support role, have an adaptable nature, willingness to take on new challenges and be comfortable working autonomously and as part of a team. This role will enable you to broaden your technical experience, working with a wide range of technologies and supporting large end clients, including critical corporate customers. Strong communication skills are essential, along with a willingness to travel to customer sites as required. We would like to hear from Network Support Engineers who have worked in a similar capacity and have the following technical skills: Experience with FortiGate Security Systems - Fortinet NSE Certified, or working towards certification. Experience with VoIP and broadband technologies.Networking fundamentals - LAN/WAN, Routers, Switches, Firewalls.Strong knowledge of IP protocols at packet level.DNS records.Additional Information: Benefits include: Pension scheme, 33 days annual leave.Working hours are Monday to Friday, rota-based covering 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm.Office based at a vibrant business hub in Keele, Staffordshire with shops, restaurants etc. within walking distance.
