Sixtowns Gin Quiz Night

The first Sixtowns Quiz takes place on Friday 13 October and visitors will have the chance to win £100 cash (Nub News).

Scarefest at Alton Towers

Scarefest is taking place at Alton Towers between 13 October and 31 October (Alton Towers).

Alton Towers becomes home to Halloween this weekend, remaining open until late so you can enjoy your favourite rides in the dark plus loads of extra entertainment.

For spooky young visitors, there are live shows and the famous freaky five to meet, whilst older families will enjoy our scare zone.

The award-winning scare mazes have been 're-scarified' and are complete with brand new features.

Comic Con Hanley

Comic Con Hanley takes place on Saturday and Sunday inside The Potteries Centre, Hanley (Nub News).

The Potteries Centre will be hosting its second Comic Con event following the success of the first event in July. 

The event will take place on 14 and 15 October, from 10am-5pm on Saturday and 11am-4pm on Sunday. 

Throughout the weekend, the event will see a top-secret guest appearance, Star Wars props galore, Ezekiel's real throne featured in the Walking Dead series, Monsters Inc door, Dobby and even more special surprises to be revealed on the day.

  • Astley's Astounding Adventures is live at The New Vic Theatre all weekend. This fantastic show tells the story of local legend, Philip Astley.
  • World of Wedgwood has a brand-new pumpkin patch on the courtyard for visitors to pick and decorate inside Josiah & Co.
  • Gandeys Circus returns to Trentham Estate on Friday 13 October with a brand-new action-packed Halloween Spooktacular Big Top show for all the family.
