Hadestown | Stoke Rep Theatre | Thur 23 Apr
Stoke Youth Musical Theatre Company will be presenting the teen version of Hadestown at the Stoke Rep Theatre over the weekend. Tickets have sold out for Friday and Saturday but seats are still available to book for the Thursday performance.
The organisers said: "This beautiful folk opera delivers a deeply resonant and defiantly hopeful theatrical experience.
"Following two intertwining timeless myths – that of young dreamers Orpheus & Eurydice and that of immortal King Hades & Lady Persephone – in a story about love, faith and the fight against oppression."
Tickets are available to book online for £19.24 (including booking fee).
The Palette Project: Green | Great Bear Gallery | Tunstall | Thur 23 to Sat 26 Apr
The Palette Project: Green exhibition will be on display at the Great Bear Gallery in Tunstall from Thursday 23 to Saturday 26 April
The exhibition will showcase the work of over 40 local artists who each bring their own perspectives, styles, and energy to the colour green.
Emily Bratby, manager of Great Bear Gallery, said: "The Palette Project began as a simple idea: choose a colour and see what happens.
"What has made it so impactful is the range of artists involved and the originality of the work produced.
"This next instalment continues that momentum, showcasing the depth of creative talent within our local community."

Live Wrestling | Abbey Hulton Sports and Social Club | Fri 24 Apr
United Wrestling will be bringing live wrestling to Abbey Hulton Sports and Social Club at 7.30pm on Friday 24 April.
The organisers said: "Nothing beats the electric atmosphere of live wrestling. Seeing the high-flying and jaw-dropping action before your eyes. Feeling the shake of every bodyslam rumble through the floor and into your feet.
"It's a WWE-style extravaganza that the entire family will never forget and get to meet all the wrestlers."
Tickets are available online for £6.15 (including booking fee).

Longton Carnival and Pig Walk Parade | Longton | Sun 26 Apr
The Longton Carnival and Pig Walk Parade is set to return to the Stoke-on-Trent town on Sunday 26 April from 10am to 4pm.
Alongside the parade, visitors will also be able to enjoy live music and the Longton Artisan and Cultural Fair.
Urban Wilderness CIC co-director Jenny Harper said: "We're so excited to share the hard work of our Teen Squad and Creative Volunteers in bringing beloved childhood books to life as part of the National Year of Reading Pig Walk."

City Nature Challenge | Staffordshire | Fri 24 to Mon 27 Apr
The world's largest BioBlitz - a community science event where people work together to identify species of plants, animals, and fungiis - called the 'City Nature Challenge' will take place from Friday 24 to Monday 27 April.
Participants can take part for free by taking photographs on their phone using a free app called iNaturalist, or they can take photos on a camera and submit their sightings through the iNaturalist website.
