There's plenty to get up to in and around Stoke-on-Trent this weekend.

Live music | The Little Vintage Tearoom at the Spode Museum | Stoke | Fri 24 July

The Little Vintage Tearoom at the Spode Museum will be hosting local musicians on Friday 24 July from 6pm to 8pm.

The orgnaisers said: "A relaxed early evening licensed event with local musicians in support of The Spode Museum.

"Your weekend starts here with a relaxed vibe and live local musicians."

Tickets are available online for £6 and includes a welcome drink and nibbles.

Food and Drink festival | Newcastle-under-Lyme | Sat 25 July

Castle Food & Drink Fest will take place in the town centre on Saturday (25 July) from 10am to 4pm.

The free event, delivered by Newcastle-under-Lyme BID in collaboration with Independent Street and supported by 6 Towns Radio, will feature more than 30 food, drink and artisan traders.

Charl Pearce, BID Manager at Newcastle-under-Lyme BID, said: "Castle Food & Drink Fest is all about celebrating great food, supporting independent businesses and giving people another reason to spend the day in Newcastle."

Model railway exhibition | Trent Vale | Sat 25 and Sun 26 July

A model railway exhibition is heading to Stoke-on-Trent this weekend, in support of Midlands Air Ambulance service.

The annual exhibition will return to St John's Primary School in Trent Vale on 25 and 26 July.

"There is plenty to see for all Model Railway Enthuasiasts," said organiser John Cox.

He added: "If people haven't been before, they can come along, have a look, and they can talk to each other about the layouts."

Science roadshow | Apedale Heritage Centre | Newcastle-under-Lyme | Sun 26 July

The Chaos science roadshow will be bringing free hands on science to Apedale Heritage Centre Museum on Sunday 26 July.

The organisers said: "We're excited to welcome the Chaos Science roadshow brought to you by students from Cambridge University.

"There will be several of exciting hands-on demonstrations, designed to get you thinking about science as you explore the coolest things about our world, and each led by a friendly demonstrator."
